TRENTON · TROOP SERVICE REPORT
From the griddle to the cleanup.
Troop 41 partnered with Pennington United Methodist Church and SURJ to help serve breakfast to 241 neighbors at TurnPoint UMC in Trenton.
Scouts cooked turkey bacon and pancakes, served eggs, and kept the coffee warmer filled. When the kitchen ran short of cheddar cheese for the grits, the troop helped replenish it. After breakfast, Scouts washed dishes, cleaned the serving room, and took out the trash.

AN EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT

Troop 41 Scout Todd McCoy built and installed a self-serve food pantry box at the Hopewell Valley Regional School District administration building in Pennington. The 2022 project gave neighbors a place to pick up food outside regular pantry hours.
A March 2025 article revisited the pantry and its connection to the Hopewell Valley Mobile Food Pantry.

TITUSVILLE · 2015 EAGLE PROJECT
A safer route down to the river.
Troop 41 Scout Ian Green chose Titusville Academy for his Eagle project. He replaced handrails and maintained the deck leading toward the Delaware River, helping improve access for students.
The plan includes November and March food drives, October Halloween Boo Bags, and cleaning and organizing the Hopewell Valley Mobile Food Pantry in February.
The August program includes re-landscaping Timberlane Middle School’s sixth-grade courtyard, described in the plan as the troop’s annual Scout-room rent.
